The Art Center of Chelmsford
The Art Center is dedicated to the advancement of art education,
art appreciation and the enjoyment and availability of art for all
ages. The Art Center enters the 21st Century with all mediums of
visual art accessible and meaningful to an increasingly more diverse
audience.
This mission statement clearly defines the purpose of an art school
and center of the caliber of The Art Center in Chelmsford. The school
is comprised of approximately 20 teachers instructing in drawing,
painting, sculpture, cartooning, computer graphics and animation,
pottery, silver jewelry making, photography and fashion design.
With classes seven days per week, art instruction is available to
adults and children in eight week sessions. During the summer, a
two week full time program for children between the ages of 9 and
18 is available in all of the above mentioned mediums.
The goal of The Art Center is to increase its student population
by providing scholarships for students of diverse backgrounds who
might otherwise be unable to participate in art instruction.
Our commitment to making art education accessible to peoples of
all financial resources demands that we keep our tuitions affordable.
It is for this reason that The Art Center depends on the help of
outside institutions as vehicles for subsidizing the prices at which
the art education is offered.
