Wayne Williams
Mr.
Williams serves as CEO of Empowering Technology Inc. (ETI). ETI focuses on providing Information, Promotional, Technology Integration,
and Training Services.
As CEO, Mr. Williams is responsible for guiding the design and
implementation of affordable, client-oriented, high-impact, sustainable
services and products forETI clients.
Mr. Williams received
his master degree in Technology and Human Development from Harvard
and his master degree in Statistical
Analysis and Measurement from Boston College. He has fourteen
years of professional experience as an educator, statistician,
and technologist. His areas of expertise and experience include
database design and management, quantitative and qualitative
analysis, digital technology, cognitive development, and program
evaluation.
In 2001 and 2003, Mr. Williams served as an invited
Reflective Community Practice fellow at MIT, sharing important
lessons learned
working as a technology consultant for public housing communities.
He has also served on several panels at MIT and Harvard, dealing
with bridging the digital divide. Mr. Williams is also part of
an on-going Harvard Law School led initiative exploring ways
of using technology to facilitate the rehabilitation process
of prisoners in third world countries.
Combining his love of
working with technology and youth, Mr. Williams served as a co-founder
and an initial Board officer
of the Benjamin Banneker Charter School in Cambridge, MA, a charter
school focusing on developing technological skills among inner-city
minority youth. Mr. Williams has been bestowed many awards and
honors for his professional and community work. Selected board
memberships and honors include the International Who’s
Who in Information Technology, Phi Delta Kappa, Black Data Processing
Association, Association for Computing Machinery, and the American
Education Research Association.
When not helping to operate TSI,
Mr. Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and church-related
activities. |
